The Revolutionary War The revolutionary war is a revolution that occurred in the thirteen British colonies located in North America, which was a follow of the British Empire during the eighteenth century. The colonies were settled by immigrants from Europe especially from England and interpreted by the right to secede from the British and conduct their affairs by themselves. The war began on April 19, 1775, when the American revolutionists clashed with the British army in the cities of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts, and lasted eight years and ended on September 3, 1783 at the signing of the Treaty of Paris between Britain and the United States, Which Britain declared the independence of the United States.
